Ingredients
- 1 lb ziti
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion diced
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 lb ground beef (optional 1 can vege burger instead)
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1/3 cup chopped fresh oregano (optional)
- 1 jar (26 oz) pasta sauce
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan
- 1 container (15 oz) ricotta
- 1 pkg (10 oz) frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed to remove liquid
- 1 cup grated mozarella
Preparation
Step 1
Cook Ziti
Oven 400 degrees
In a large pot at med-low heat; heat oil, add onion, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes until soft.
Add beef/burger. Drain liquid.
Add garlic and oregano.
Add pasta sauce and heat for 3 minutes
Remove from heat. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat.
Add parmesan, ricottal and spinach; and toss again.
Spread in 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
Sprinkle top with mozzarella.
Bake 15 minutes until cheese melts.
