Ingredients
- For the cake batter:
- Grease pie plate, 9" or 10"
- Add 2 cups whole fresh cranberries in pie plate.
- Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar on berries.
- Cream 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup Crisco (stick)
- Cream both well.
- Add 1 cup of sugar and beat until fluffy.
- Add 2 eggs. Beat again.
- Sift 1 cup of pastry flour (King Arthur's is fine).
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Add this to creamed mixture. Beat well. Add one teaspoon of vanilla. Put this mixture evenly on top of the cranberries (that has the sugar on them).
Preparation
Step 1
Bake at 325 degree oven. Serve hot with whipped cream. Bake for one hour.
