Pasta Fagioli Soup

Ingredients

  • l lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 30 oz. jar chunky garden style Ragu Spaghetti Sauce
  • 10 1/2 oz. can beef broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 10 oz. can rotel tomatoes
  • 1 regular can white northern beans
  • 1 regular can red kidney beans
  • 1 shredded carrot
  • 1 to 2 cups of cooked macaroni

Preparation

Step 1

Cook ground beef with onions garlic. Add sauce, broth, water, celery, sugar, sugar, salt and pepper. Bring to boil; cover and reduce heat. Simmer 20 minutes. Stir in rotel tomatoes, beans, carrots, and macaroni. Simmer another 10 minutes. I like to also add spinach the last 10 minutes of cooking. Of course this is optional.
