Hot Caramel Apple Cider

Ingredients

  • 12 whole cloves
  • 1 orange
  • 2 quarts apple cider
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup caramel sauce
  • Garnish: whipping cream, ground cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

1. Press cloves into skin of orange. In a large stockpot, over medium heat, bring apple cider to a boil. Add prepared orange and cinnamon sticks. Reduce heat and simmer on low for 1 hour.
2. Stir in cream and caramel sauce. Cook until just heated through. Garnish with whipping cream and ground cinnamon. Serve immediately.
