Ingredients
- 5 cups angel food cubes
- 1/4 cup cherry liqueur, optional
- 1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup confectioner's sugar
- 8 oz. frozen nondairy whipped topping
- thawed, divided
- 1/2 cup toasted chopped pecans
- 1 can (21 oz.) cherry filling or
- topping
Preparation
Step 1
Pllace cake cubes in large bowl. Sprinkle with liqueur if desired; let stand 30 min. In med. bowl, combine confectioner's sugar and cream cheese; beat until blended. Reseve 2 Tbl. Whipped topping; fold remaining topping into cheese mixture. Then stir with pecans into cake cubes and mix well. Spoon cake mixture into a pretty glass or crystal bowl. Spread cherry filling evenly over top. Or if desired, layer half the cake mixture and cherry filling; repeat layer. Cover and refridgerate at least 3 hrs. Garnish with reserved whipped toppings
