Date Nut Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups dates cut fine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 2 eggs well beaten
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Bake at 350 degrees in a 9X5 loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes. Yields two loaves.
