Christmas Crack

Not quite sure how this awesome sweet snack mix got it's name, but it you can't stop eating Christmas Crack, once you start! Double the recipe, you'll need that much to be able to share with friends and family!

Ingredients

  • 1 (13-ounce) box Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 (12-ounce) box Golden Grahams cereal
  • 1 large can cashew halves and pieces
  • 1 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups corn syrup

Preparation

Step 1

Combine Rice Chex, Golden Grahams, and cashews in a large mixing bowl.

In a large sauce pan, cook butter, sugar, and corn syrup to the "soft ball" stage. About 234°F on a candy thermometer. Pour over cereal mixture and stir until all is well coated.

Pour mixture out onto 2 large cookie sheets to cool. Stir it around occasionally to prevent clumping.

Store in an airtight container.
