Crabmeat Canapes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine (1 stick)
  • 5-7 oz Old English Cheddar Cheese (1 chuck)
  • 2 tblsp. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt (for taste)
  • 7 oz. crabmeat, flaked
  • 6 English Muffins, split

Preparation

Step 1

In large bowl blend together softened butter abd cheese. Stir in the mayonnaise, salt, garlic powder and crabmeat. Spread on muffin halves. Cut each muffin into four pieces. Put on cookie sheet and freeze. Place in plastic bags until ready to serve.

At serving time, broil until brown and bubbly.
Yield: 48 hors d'oeuvres
