Crab Cakes - Grandpop Tony

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 4 tbs. mayo
  • 2 tbs. minced scallion greens
  • 1/4 tsp. Maryland style seasoning, such as Old Bay
  • 1/4 tsp. hot red pepper sauce, such as Tabasco
  • 1 pound pasteurized jumbo lump crabmeat
  • 1 tbsp. plus 1 teaspoon milk
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Start with 1 cup panko and add as needed
  • 6 tbs olive oil for frying

Preparation

Step 1

In bowl add crabmeat, hot sauce, milk and Panko. Mix and set aside. In another bowl mix place all other ingredients and mix well then add to crabmeat mixture. Form in cakes.

Make sure oil is hot before frying and do not use breadcrumb.
