Baked Ziti

Ingredients

  • 1 box penne noodles
  • 15 oz. ricotta cheese
  • 2-4 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cook noodles to al dente, drain.
In a medium bowl, mix ricotta and egg.
Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and spoon in one layer of spaghetti sauce. Layer with noodles, then ricotta mix, then mozzarella and repeat. Top with Parmesan. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes; let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

*Can also add cooked hamburger, mushrooms, sausage, etc to layers if desired.
