Slow Cooker Italian Beef Sandwiches

Delicious sandwich cooked in the crockpot made with boneless beef chuck roast. This was a real hit and serves a large crowd.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless beef chuck pot roast
  • 1 15- oz can tomatoes sauce with Italian seasoning
  • 2 medium green sweet peppers, sliced
  • 2 medium onions. sliced
  • 1 12-16 oz jar pepperoncini salad peppers,drained and stems removed
  • 10.6-5 oz envelope cheese-garlic dressing mix ( Used Good seasons Italian dressing mix since I could not find the cheese- garlic mix)
  • 12 sandwich rolls, split and toasted
  • 2 cups shredded Italian-blend cheeses

Preparation

Step 1

1.Trim fat from meat. Place meat in a 5-6 qt slow cooker. Add tomatoes sauce. Top with next three ingredients through pepperoncini peppers. Sprinkle with dressing mix. Cover and cook on low 10-12 hours or high 5-6 hours.

2.Transfer meat to a cutting board. Shred with two forks.Return meat back to coker. Using a slotted spoon serve meat and vegetables on rolls.Top with cheese. Spoon cooking liquid into bowls for dipping.
