Austrian Veal Goulash

Ingredients

  • 4 large onions finely chopped
  • 4 T butter
  • 2 Pounds leg of veal cut up as if for stew
  • 1 T paprika
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 large peeled chopped tomato
  • 1 small green pepper chopped
  • 2 T water
  • 1 T rinced capers
  • 1 C sour cream
  • Hot buttered noodles

Preparation

Step 1

Cook onions in butter until they are golden brown. Add teh meat, paprika and salt. Cook stiring ocassionally to prevent burning

Add tomato, green pepper and water, stir to combine. Cover with lid and cook for 45 minutes. Taste for seasoning and adjust as needed.

Add capers and sour cream and cook for 2-3 minutes. Serve over noodles.
