Ingredients
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/4 pounds green beans, trimmed
- 1 (15-ounce) can tomatoes, crushed
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Pinch cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
Cook onion in a pot with olive oil, about 5 minutes.
Add trimmed green beans, crushed tomatoes, water, salt, pepper, and a pinch of cinnamon. Partially cover and simmer, 35 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
