Buttery Corn Bread

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 1/3 cups flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar, combine eggs and milk, Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with egg mixture.
Pour into greased 13x9 in baking pan. Bake 400 for 22-27 minutes or till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm
