Salmon Loaf

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. rice
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 2 c. milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Dash pepper
- 4 Tbsp. chopped celery (optional)
- 2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
- 1 large can salmon
Preparation
Step 1
Cook rice 5 min, only in 3 c. rapidly boiling sallted water. Grain. Melt 2 Tbsp. butter, lend in flour salt and pepper and add milk. Cook stirring contantly until thick. Add chopped celery and green pepper to white sauce, cooking over hot water for 10 min. Remove skin from salmon and flake, add rice, beaten egg and white sauce. Put in pad, dot with rest of butter and bake 45 mins. in about 350 (moderate) oven.
