Fresh Apple Pecan Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Wesson Oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 3 lg Winesap apples
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

1. Beat oil, sugar & eggs for 3 minutes.
2. Add flour gradually.
3. Add chopped pecans.
4. Cut apples into small pieces and fold into batter.
5. Grease and flour a tube pan.
6. Pour batter into pan.
7. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour & 15 minutes.
8. Allow cake to cool completely before removing from pan.
9. Top with Caramel Topping
