Ingredients
- Meatballs:
- 2 lb ground turkey
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup cranberries chopped
- 3 tbs chopped fresh sage
- 2 tbs chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, minced
- 1 rib celery
- 1 sm onion, minced
- 1 egg
- Relish:
- 1 12oz bag frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup each sugar and water
- 1 tsp salt
- Juice and zest from 1 orange
- Fried Sage:
- 4 tbs vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sage
- salt to taste
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil and set aside.
2. Stir together all meatball ingredients in a mixing bowl until well mixed. Roll into 2 inch meatballs and place of baking sheet; bake for 35 minutes
3. While meatballs are baking, cool all relish ingredients in a large pot over low heat for 20 minutes. Remove from heat; let cool.
4. Heat oil in medium pan over med heat. Add sage, cook for 1 minute. Drain sage on paper towels and sprinkle with salt. Sprinkle meatballs with fried sage and serve with cranberry relish
