Italian Wedding Soup with Three Cheese Tortellini

Meatballs, cheese filled tortellini and a delectable broth make this soup the easiest and tastiest you will ever serve. Beautiful enough for a wedding or special occassion but easy enough for a busy weeknight.

Ingredients

  • 9 oz package refrigerated three cheese tortellini
  • 1 pkg frozen Italian style meatballs
  • 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
  • juice of one lemon
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 1/2 C kale, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 T minced garlic
  • 6 C chicken stock
  • 1 C celery, chopped
  • pinch of sugar
  • dash of pepper

Preparation

Step 1

1.Combine all ingredients in the crockpot.
2.Turn on high for 1 hour and then low for 3 more hours.
3. Stir occassionally
