Ingredients
- 1 cup half and half or milk
- 2 tbsp. canned pure pumpkin puree
- 2 tbsp. maple syrup
- 2 whole cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/4 cup hot espresso or strong brewed coffee
- whipped cream
- freshly grated nutmeg
Preparation
Step 1
combine the half and half, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, cloves and cinnamon stick in a small pot, and bring to a gentle boil; remove from the heat and discard the cloves and cinnamon stick. Whisk vigorously until the milk mixture is foamy, about 30 seconds. pour the espresso or coffee into a large mug, and top with the foamed milk. add a dollop of whipped cream if desired. sprinkle with freshly grated nutmeg.
