Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp (1/2 stick) butter
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 bananas, peeled and sliced into 1/2" slices
- 1/4 cup rum
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 pint vanilla ice cream
Preparation
Step 1
1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar until it has dissolved. Stir in the orange juice. The sugar may clump together; continue stirring until clumps have dissolved.
2. Add the bananas, stirring to coat them with the sugar mixture. Cook until tender, about 2 min. Remove the skillet from the burner, add the rum, return to the burner to ignite. While the rum is flaming, sprinkle the cinnamon over bananas and stir. Stir until the cinnamon is evenly dispersed. Pour the banana mixture over the ice cream set in bowls.
