Ingredients
- 1 lb pasta
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 shallots, chopped
- 1 cup vodka
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 large can crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- basil
- evoo
- salt & pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Boil pasta while preparing sauce.
Heat large skillet on medium & add oil, butter, garlic & shallots; sautee 3-5 minutes. Add vodka & reduce by half (2-3 minutes). Add chicken broth & crushed tomatoes; bring to boil & reduce to simmer (5-10 minutes); salt & pepper.
Add cream to sauce; when sauce returns to boil, remove from heat. Toss sauce w/hot pasta & basil.
