Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature (low-fat is okay too)
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 8 ounces (1 small tub) Cool Whip
- 3/4 About 3/4 cup Strawberry Pie Filling, divided
- Pretzels, for serving
Preparation
Step 1
Use a hand mixer to beat cream cheese, sugar, and salt until smooth. Fold in Cool Whip. Stir in about 1/2 cup of the pie filling. Chill dip until ready to serve. (Can be made one day ahead.)
When ready to serve: Place dip in serving bowl. Top with another 1/4 cup or so of pie filling for garnish. Serve with pretzels.
Notes:
Feel free to use low or fat-free ingredients where you'd like. If you prefer to use fresh strawberries, just chop up about 1-2 cups and stir in in place of the pie filling. Check the sweetness - your dip may need more sugar in this case since the pie filling is more sweet than plain strawberries are.
