Ingredients
- Syrup:
- 1.5 cups sugar
- 1.5 cups water
- Lemonade:
- 2 cups fresh lemon juice
- zest from 2 lemons
- 2 cups simple syrup
- 1/2 tsp salt
- water
Preparation
Step 1
For syrup:
Remove wide strips of zest from 2 lemons with a veg peeler. Add lemon zest to sugar and water in a small saucepan, boil until sugar dissolves, then let cool.
for Lemonade:
Pour cooled syrup into an ice-filled pitcher. Stir in 1/2 tsp salt, 2 cups fresh lemon juice and 2 cups water. Add lemon slices to pitcher.
