Cherry Cobbler (copycat CrackerBarrel)

Ingredients

  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 squares baking chocolate
  • 6 tablespoons margarine
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1/2 cup nuts, finely chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Spread pie filling in a 2 quart baking dish.

3.
In double boiler, melt chocolate with margarine.

4.
Stir in milk and eggs.
Blend in sugar.

5.
Mix in dry ingredients.

6.
Drop mixture over cherry filling.
Sprinkle with chopped nuts.

7.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until dough is cooked through.
