Cabbage Rolls - Unstuffed

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 small cabbage, chopped
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 (14-1/2 ounce)cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp. sea salt

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a large skillet or dutch oven, brown the ground beef and onions.

2. Add the garlic and cook an additional minute.

3. Add remaining ingredients.

4. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce the heat and simmer about 25 minutes or until the cabbage is tender.
