Orange Sauce

  • 4 TBS butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup Cointreau or other orange liquor

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in orange zest, juice, and liquor. Heat to a boil, whisking frequently. Reduce to a simmer and cook for an additional 10 minutes, continuing to whisk frequently, until liquid reduces to a syrupy texture.

Serve over warm crepes, ice cream, or fruit.

Makes 4 servings. Each serving = 4 Weight Watchers points.
