Peaches In Primitivo Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 whole clove
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups Primitivo di Gioia (a dry red wine from Puglia)
  • 4 peaches
  • Biscotti for serving

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, combine clove, sugar and red wine and heat until sugar is dissolved, about 10 minutes. Cool and keep covered.

Peel and slice peaches and divide among 4 wine glasses. Pour 1/4 cup syrup over each peach and serve immediately with biscotti.

This recipe yields 4 servings.
