Daniel's Sausage and Mash Casserole

My friend Daniel made this version of sausage and mash when he visited us in 2008. Yum!

Ingredients
- 8-10 pork sausages, low fat
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups frozen peas
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese, reduced fat
- 1/4 nonfat plain yogurt
- 1/2 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
Preparation
Step 1
Fry sausages and place in an ovenproof casserole dish. Add onions and mushrooms, then cover with frozen peas.
Boil potatoes and sweet potatoes until soft and mash with yogurt and spices.
Add mash to the casserole dish. Cover with cheese. Bake in 190 degree C oven for 30-40 minutes or until hot and bubbling.
