Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 6 cups peeled and chopped apples (granny smith)
- BUTTERSCOTCH SAUCE
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine the dry ingredients, then add gradually to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in apples.
Spread in a 9x13 pan. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Serve with butterscotch sauce.
Butterscotch.
Melt brown sugar and butter in saucepan. Gradually add whipping cream, then bring to a slow boil over medium heat while stirring.
