Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 1/2 oz can chopped green chilis
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tsp Mexican seasoning
- 1 Tbs chili powder
- 8 oz can Mexican style tomato sauce
- 8 1/2 oz package cornbread mix
Preparation
Step 1
Brown beef and drain. Add chilis, onion, seasoning & chili powder; cook until onions are tender. Add tomato sauce & simmer. Prepare cornbread mix according to package directions; pour 1/2 batter into slightly greased baking dish. Spoon beef mixture over batter & top w/ remaining batter. Bake at 350 for 25 - 30 minutes or until cornbread is golden.
