Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large shallot, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 bottle of beer
- 4 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 pound Maine (mahogany) clams (may substitute mussels)
Preparation
Step 1
Saute garlic and shallots in olive oil until tender. Add beer and parsley and simmer 10 minutes. Turn heat to high, add clams, cover, and then turn to low and simmer until clams open, about 5 minutes.
Serve clams in bowls with the juice.
