Ingredients
- 3/4 cup olive oil
- 2 cups chopped onions
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 2 lbs fresh green beans, rinsed & trimmed
- 3 lg tomatoes, diced
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 pinch salt to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Cook & stir onions & garlic until tender.
Mix in beans, tomatos, sugar & salt.
Reduce heat to low & cook 45 minutes or until beans are soft.
I like to use halved cherry or grape tomatos instead of large ones. Also, I usually cook a lot less time & the beans are still crunchy.
