Ingredients
- 6 fresh bananas
- 5 ounces granulated sugar
- 2 ounces butter
- 2 ounces Meyer’s Dark Rum
- 5 ounces heavy whipping cream
- Vanilla ice cream
- Sliced almonds, toasted
Preparation
Step 1
Remove the skin and cut each of the bananas into 5 pieces. In a hot pan, melt the granulated sugar until golden brown. Add the butter and bananas. Deglaze with the rum and cream; simmer until the mixture coats the bananas.
To serve, scoop the ice cream into a small bowl (a chocolate bowl would be nice), and center on a dessert plate, place bananas around the plate and garnish with the toasted almonds.
