Ingredients
- 8 large strawberries, halved
- 1 cup plus 2 Tbsp sugar (if strawberries were pretty tart, so you can add an extra 2 Tbsp sugar to the berries in the blender)
- 7 cups cold water
- 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (need 12 to 13 medium lemons)
- Ice
Preparation
Step 1
1. Put strawberries in a blender or food processor; top with 2 Tbsp sugar. Pour 1 cup water over sugared strawberries. Blend or pulse until strawberry chunks transform into juice.
2. Combine strawberry juice, remaining 6 cups water, remaining cup sugar, and lemon juice in a large pitcher; stir until blended (stir vigorously until sugar dissolves - it will dissolve even if you think it won't).
Serve over ice.
