Ingredients
- 10 eggs
- 3 cups whole milk
- 2 teaspoons orange zest
- 3/4 teaspoon pure almond extract
- 18 cups (2 lbs.) cubed panettone
- 1 cup ricotta
- 1/3 cup sliced almonds
- 3 tablespoons cream
- 1/3 cup sugar
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, orange zest and almond extract. Stir in cubed panettone. Transfer to a buttered 3-qt. baking dish. Spoon ricotta by the tablespoon over strata. Cover; refrigerate overnight. Sprinkle on almonds, brush with cream and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees until just set, about 1 hour.
