Earl's bacon ranch dip for fried green tomatoes

Ingredients

  • 5 slices bacon
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp dill weed
  • 11/2 tsp white vinegar
  • Salt& pepper
  • 2 medium green sliced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal

Preparation

Step 1

Fry bacon and reserve drippings...crumble bacon...

In bowl combine mayo, sour cream, garlic, dill, and vinegar. Stir in bacon and salt&pepper to taste

Season both sides of tomato with s&p, dredge in flour...dip in egg and press cornmeal to coat completely...return bacon pan to medium heat, once hot fry the tomatoes
