Ingredients
- 1 lb broccoli, fresh or frozen
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1 qt half and half cream
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 8 oz butter
- 1 qt chicken stock
- 1 tsp salt
Preparation
Step 1
1 Clean broccoli; remove stems and cut into 1/2" pieces. Steam in 1/2 cups of water until tender. Do not drain. Set aside.
2 Melt butter in sauce pan over medium heat. Add flour, cooking 2-3 minutes. Add chicken stock, stirring with wire whip and bring to a boil. Turn heat to low. Add broccoli, half & half, salt & pepper. Heat, but do not boil
