Terrific Toffee
Terrific toffee includes some malted milk powder, to add great flavor, and has a mixture of different chocolates and nuts.

Ingredients
- 1 cup whole almonds, toasted and coarsely chopped
- 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate
- 3/4 cup milk chocolate
- 1/3 cup white chocolate
- 2 tablespoons instant malted milk powder
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
Preparation
Step 1
Line a 13x9x2 baking pan with foil.
Combine chopped almonds, all chocoate chips in bowl. Sprinkle 1/2 (about 1 1/2 cups) of the nut/chocolate mixture onto prepared pan. Sprinkle malted milk powder over mixture.
Combine butter, sugar and water in 2-quart heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat to boiling, stirring to dissolve sugar. Attach candy themometer. Cook, stirring frequently untl it registers 290°F, or soft-crack stage (about 15 min). Mixture should boil at a steady rate over the entier surface.
Remove from heat, remove thermometer. Quickly pour over nut/chocolate mixture in pan. Immediately sprinkle with remaining nut/choc mixture. Cool for 1 hour. Break into pieces.
