Holly's Beefy Rigatoni

Ingredients

  • 1 lg. Onion chopped
  • 1 tblsp Olive Oil
  • 2 -14 1/2 ounce cans of Italian diced Tomatoes ...undrained
  • 1 8 0z can tomato sauce
  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flake
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp greek seasoning
  • 4 1/2 c. Rigatoni cooked, drained
  • 2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 c. Shredded Provolone Cheese......note sometimes I just get the Italian blend of cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Here is what you do:
In a sauce pan, saute onion in oil,, stir in tomatoes, and tomato sauce
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover simmer for 8 to 10 min
Stir in cooked beef, salt and pepper flakes, cover and simmer 5 more min.
Add Pasta.. toss to coat
Transfer to greased 13 x9 baking dish... sprinkle with cheeses.. bake uncovered at 400 deg. for 20 to 25 min. Serve
