Rich Pumpkin Torte

Ingredients

  • 15 oz. canned pumpkin
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teasp. vanilla
  • 1 teasp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 teasp. salt
  • 1 yellow cake mix (dry)
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the pumpkin, milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Pour this mixture into a 9 X 13 inch pan. It will be soupy. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix on top of the pumpkin mixture. Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix and sprinkle the pecans on top. Bake at 350 degrees for about 55 minutes. Cool before serving.
