Apple Crisp

Ingredients

  • 4 large Granny Smith apples,peeled & sliced about 8 cups
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar,divided
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon,divided
  • 1/3 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 10 Peek Freans lifestyle selections Shortcake Biscuits-crushed about 1 cup
  • 1 1/2 cups thawed cool whipped topping

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350F
Toss apples with half each of the sugar and cinnamon,spoon into 8 or 9 in. square baking dish
Combine oats,remaining sugar and cinnamon in medium bowl. Cut in margarine with pastry blender or 2 knives,until mixture resembles course crumbs. Stir in biscuit crums,spread over apples.
Bake 30 to 35 min. or until apples are tender. Serve topped with cool whip.
