Seared Salmon Fillets with Teriyaki Wine Butter Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 4 grinds sea salt and black peppercorn
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 shallot; finely minced
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup veri Veri Teriyaki Marinade
  • 1-1/2 tablespoon unsalted butter

Preparation

Step 1

Heat skillet over medium heat for two minutes. Add olive oil and swirl to
coat. While skillet heats, season the salmon with salt and pepper. Sear the
salmon, flesh side down for 2-3 minutes. Turn salmon and lower heat
slightly. Cook until the salmon is opaque and begins to flake, about five
minutes. Remove from pan to serving plate. Add shallots to the pan and
saute until they begin to turn translucent about two minutes. Take pan away
from the heat and add the wine, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
Add the teriyaki marinade and butter to the pan and stir to combine. Allow
to reduce slightly to create a shiny sauce. Pour over salmon fillets and
serve immediately.
