Pasta Pizze

Ingredients

  • 2 c uncooked corkscrew macaroni
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c finely chopped onion
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 15-oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp dried basil leaves, crushed
  • 1 tsp dried oregano leaves, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1 green pepper, sliced into rings
  • 1 1/2 c shredded mozzarella cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Cook macaroni and drain well.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine eggs and milk in large bowl; stir in macaroni; stir in cheddar cheese and onion; mix well.

Spread macaroni mixture evenly on buttered 14 in pizza pan.

Bake for 25 minutes.

Brown hamburger and drain fat.

Stir in tomato sauce, basil, oregano, and garlic salt.

Spoon meat mixture over baked macaroni crust.

Arrange tomatoes and peppers over meat.

Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

Bake 15 minutes longer or until cheese is bubbly. Yields 8 servings.
