Ingredients
- Topping:
- 2 Cups Blueberries
- Juice of 1/2 Lemon
- 3/4 C. Sugar
- 3 Tbs. Butter
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1 tsp. Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- 1 Cup Boiling Water
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Tbs. Cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
Preparation
Step 1
Line a well-greased 8 x 8 inch pan with berries. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Cream butter and sugar together; add milk, alternately with flour, baking powder, and salt, which has been sifted together. Pour this batter evenly over berries. Combine dry topping; sprinkle over top of batter. Pour boiling water over all. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.
