Ingredients
- 1 8 oz loaf French bread
- 2 Tbsp margarine or butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 grated parmesan cheese
- dried basil (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Prehead oven to 350 deg. Cut bread in half lengthwise. Place cut sides up, in shallow baking pan.
Mix margarine and garlic until well blended. Spread evenly onto bread halves; sprinkle with cheeses.
Bake 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Cut each bread crosswise into 6 slices. Serve warm.
For added zip, sprinkle lightly with dried basil leaves before baking.
