Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 10 ounces ground skinless turkey breast
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 package frozen chopped spinach - (10 oz) thawed, squeezed dry
- 2 tomatoes chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
- 4 small whole-heat pita breads halved
Preparation
Step 1
In a large nonstick skillet, heat the oil. Add the turkey and garlic; cook, stirring constantly, until the turkey is browned, about 5 minutes.
Add the spinach, tomatoes, salt and pepper; cook, stirring as needed, until the spinach is wilted and tomatoes are softened, about 5 minutes. Spoon 1/2 cup of the turkey mixture into each pita half.
