Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Ingredients

  • 5-7 lbs. whole pork shoulder, pork butt or Boston butt
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • BBQ rub seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons liquid smoke
  • BBQ sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Rough chop the onion and garlic - toss in slow cooker.

Rub seasoning all over pork - drop into slow cooker.

Add liquid smoke. Fill with water 2/3 of the cooker.

Set slow cooker for 8 hours.

Remove meat from slow cooker - discard remaining liquid. Shred meat with 2 forks. Return to slow cooker, add BBQ sauce. Add a little at a time to your taste. Set slow cooker to "warm" setting for about 30 minutes to heat through.
