STRAWBERRY PUFF PASTRY DESSERT

Step 1

Take once pastry from 17.3 oz pkg of two. Thaw and open and cut into thirds, then thirds again, to make 9 squares. Bake in oven at 400 for 11-13 mintues, place on wire rack and let cook completley. When cool line half on bottom of 9x13 pan. Then slice and divide 5 c strawberries (I used two regular sized containers). Place 2.5 c strawberries in blender and puree and set aside. Then in large microwave bowl melt 6 oz white baking chocolate. Set aside to cool slightly. Then add 8 oz softened cream cheese and 1 tsp vanilla extract to chocolate and beat until smooth. Beat in the 1 c confectioners sugar and 1/3 c malted milk powder. Stir in the strawberry puree. Then whip 2 c heavy whipping cream. Fold in whipped cream. Now pour about half over puff pastry and add a bit of remaining strawberriers. Then put other row of puff pastry on, rest of cream and top with sliced strawberries and strawberry sauce. WE TRIED THIS 1/7/13 AND IT WAS VERY GOOD. IT DID TAKE QUITE A WHILE TO MALE THOUGH, LOTS OF PREP.
