Green Bean Casserole, Cheddar-Pecan

Ingredients

  • Buttermilk White Sauce (see recipe)
  • 1 c finely chopped jarred roasted red
  • bell peppers
  • 1 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Blanched green beans
  • 1 c French fried onions, crushed
  • 1/2 c Japanese breadcrumbs (panko)
  • 1/2 c chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 deg. Combine white sauce, peppers and 1/2 c cheese in large bowl; add green beans, tossing gently to combine. Place in lightly greased 13 x 9" or 3 qt baking dish. Combine onions, bread crumbs, pecans & remaining 1/2 c cheese & sprinkle over green beans. Bake for 25-30 minsw or until golden brown and bubbly. Serve immediately.
