Grilled Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds of asparagus, tough ends snapped off
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • salt and freshly ground pepper or use garlic and black pepper grinder

Preparation

Step 1

Light a medium hot grill. Place the asparagus on a sheet pan and toss with olive oil to coat evenly. Grill the asparagus, turning with tongs as necessary, until tender and browned, about 5 minutes. (Or, arrange the asparagus on 2 sheet pans and broil, one pan at a time.) Arrange on a platter and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Note: Green onions are delicious this way also
